Production Quality

Our editors review every submission and demand a high standard of production quality before a clip is accepted. In particular, submissions are reviewed for any standout problems in the categories listed below. Please refer to the Video and Photograph Production Tips section of this guide for more details.

Lighting

Lighting is one of the most important aspects of professional looking footage. Improper exposure and harsh shadows will result in your clip being rejected.

Focus

Our editors will reject clips that do not have proper focus. It is ok to rack the focus, but something must be properly in focus.

Noise

Noise from gain or lens adapters really destroys the quality of a video... especially when viewed in high definition. Noisy clips will be rejected.

Movement

Camera shake and other inadvertent camera movement are unacceptable.

Release Agreements

Proper releases for indentifiable people and property must be included. See Release Guidelines for more information.
