Ownership

You must be the copyright holder of every photograph file you submit. If you created the photograph, then you are automatically the copyright holder. If someone else created the photograph, or assisted in its creation, then you are only the copyright holder if you have a proper signed agreement from that person transferring the copyright to you.

File Specifications

Formats Color Space Min Resolution/Size
tiff rgb 2400 x 1600 (8in x 5.33in at 300 dpi)
jpg rgb 2400 x 1600 (8in x 5.33in at 300 dpi)

Please Note that the minimum file dimensions are 2400x1600. however, higher resolution files find broader applicability, and thus increase the probability that your files will be selected. Therefore, please upload 50MB versions if they are available.

Please do not upscale your images to dimensions larger than their native size. They will not be accepted.

Production Quality

Our editors review every submission and demand a high standard of production quality before a photograph is accepted. In particular, submissions are reviewed for any standout problems in the categories listed below. Please refer to the Video and Photograph Production Tips section of this guide for more details.

Lighting

Lighting is one of the most important aspects of a professional looking photograph. Improper exposure and harsh shadows will result in your submission being rejected.

Focus

Our editors will reject clips that do not have proper focus. While playing with the focus can add an interesting dimension to your photograph, something must be in focus.

Noise

Noise from gain or lens adapters really destroys the quality of a video... especially when viewed in high definition. Noisy photographs will be rejected.

Release Agreements

Proper releases for identifiable people and property must be included. See Release Guidelines for more information.
