Naming Conventions

<prev | next >

Clipcentric will automatically give all the files you upload a new index-based name. However, your original filenames will also be stored. Using an organized naming convention for your submissions will facilitate our communication with you about specific files.

Filenames are limited to 20 characters. Underscores (_) and dashes (-) are allowed, but DO NOT use spaces, or any other special characters (@#$%/) when naming your files.

Always include the extension appropriate for the file type being uploaded (e.g. mp4, png, eps)

Do not submit duplicate names for files. A good naming convention will help prevent this as your portfolio grows.

Below are some example of good and poor naming choices.

Good Examples

vkt00001.mp4
vkt00002.mp4
vkt00003.mp4
Bad Examples

red_roses1.mp4
jumping_in_pool.mp4
sunset.mp4
