Metadata

< prev | next >

Metadata is data about the files you submit, such as the creating artist, title, descriptions, keywords, etc. This data is critical in helping us organize your submissions, and in helping our customers find the content they need for their projects.

In order for you to generate revenue from your portfolio, it is essential that you tag your submissions with descriptive metadata, which will be used by our search functionality to locate your content.

For example, if one of our end-users is looking for a video clip of a doctor examining a patient, the only way he/she will find your clip is if it is tagged with proper descriptive words, such as "doctor, medical exam, patient"

Please review the specific metadata requirements for Video, Photographs, Vector Art, Music Tracks, and Sound Effects in the following sections.
